Latin name:Zinnia angustifolia

Zinnia red prince is a plant that blooms with a brilliant purple that is hard to miss in a garden, border or container. The plants grow as tall as 2 feet, and their color makes them hard to miss, even from a distance. They love full sun and like warm climates that are relatively dry. They make a dramatic border flower with their wide blooms and bright color. The seeds can be planted outdoors when the weather is warm and there is no more chance of a frost. They can be started earlier inside and transplanted outdoors after the frost of the season has passed. 

Every growing region in North America is suitable for growing red prince zinnias. As a cut flowers, these zinnias are long lived and make a picturesque bouquet with large flowers and long, strong stems. The plants will continue to bloom through the summer until the first frost of the fall arrives. Hummingbirds and butterflies are attracted to these plants, bringing more color and variety to the garden. Seeds are packaged and germination tested for the current year.
